19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.

Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.

Presently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This marks his first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface since March of 2023.

Victory also means Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 various events.

"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."

The athlete, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.

Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had caused observers to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.

However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, backed up by an improved serve.

The champion fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.

Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to force a third set.

He saved 4 initial break points in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to secure the win.

Fittingly, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
